The qualifiers for CDL Major 3 have thrown up some real shocks over the past three weeks. The final day of action in those qualifiers was no different.

The first match to kick off day three was between Seattle Surge and London Royal Ravens.

With their dominant performance against Florida Mutineers on Friday, Seattle was in full steam ahead mode.

They 3-0 swept London, notably with the assistance from Daunte “Sib” Gray. Sib went 62/43 and had a 01:45 in the Bocage hardpoint.

Match two was between the vengeance seeking Florida Mutineers and the HOT Boston Breach.

Map one was Gavutu hardpoint. This was one of the closest matches throughout the entire qualifier. Florida took the win vs Boston. 250-248.

This gave the meaning to battling it out until the end.

Map two was Bocage SnD. Boston outplayed Florida, defeating them 6-3. This would not knock down Florida’s momentum.

Map three was Tuscan Control. Florida was determined to not let Boston take them down.

Three of their players had three zone captures whereas Boston has two players with two zone captures.

Because of their defence oriented gameplay, Florida was victorious vs Boston 3-1.

Map four would show Boston was not giving up. They out performed Florida on the Tuscan hardpoint 250-179, keeping this series alive.

It all came down to the map five – Berlin SND.

With their sights set on making their comeback since their loss against Seattle, Florida had the clutch up with a 6-5 victory against Boston.

They won the series 3-2, earning a upper bracket spot in Major 3. This was one of the most intense matches in the entire qualifier.

The final match of week 3 was OpTic Texas vs Los Angeles Thieves.

OpTic Texas was set to annihilate whoever stood in their way. This would be the Thieves. OpTic Texas swept LA Thieves 3-0. Most notably, they had the slaying power from Anthony “Shotzzy” Cuevas-Castro.

Shotzzy went 77/46 during the series, showing his determination to qualify for Major 3.

There was then an extra match between the Florida Mutineers and the LA Thieves. The winner earned the right to play against OpTic in WR1 of the Major.
