College CoD have announced that they will be hosting their Season 4 Playoffs at Belong Polaris in Columbus, Ohio.
The venue that has just hosted the Call of Duty League Pro-Am will be in use once again as the top Collegiate teams from the US compete for $25,000.
Teams will arrive for the event on June 9, with games starting on June 11 for two days of playoff action.
The CCL’s statement said: “Since June 2018, College CoD has housed one of the most passionate communities across collegiate esports.
“The end of the CCL 2022 Post-season draws near as regional online bracket play wraps up in the East and West.
“Thus, it is time for an update on what to expect for this Activision-approved LAN FINALS.
“We’re excited to bring more Call of Duty to Columbus, which has hosted MLG, CWL, and CDL events throughout the last decade.”
PC Specs at the event are quite impressive.
Each station has an NVIDIA 3060 graphics card and 32GB of DDR4-3200khz RAM, meaning that no players should run into any issues across the weekend.
- HP Omen 30L
- AMD Ryzen™ 9 59a00X
- NVIDIA® GeForce RTX™ 3060
- 2 TB PCIe® NVMe™ TLC M.2 SSD
- HyperX® 32 GB DDR4-3200 RGB SDRAM
- HyperX™ Cloud Alpha gaming headset
There were some issues during the CDL Pro-Am but that was just a case of getting everything up and running at the time.
The Pro-Am struggled to get everything organised and have players in lobbies quickly, especially during the first day of competition.
The CCL shouldn’t have the same kind of problems, with players raring to go and get started on LAN.
Spectator passes are available for $25 and are on sale here.
