London Spitfires have dropped Owen “Prov1de” Warner. The support player has had accusations of grooming levelled against him.

Warner has allegedly sent messages to a 16-year-old girl, with a Twitter user known simply as “Emma” posting some damning screenshots.

Warner, 20 at the time the screenshots were taken, said that he wanted to show Emma his “bulge” whilst still being aware of how old she is.

He even acknowledged that “a lot of people my age would hav a problem with me saying that”.

Despite the fact that, according to official sources and the Sexual Offences Act, Prov1de isn’t breaking the law, the ethical problem that his actions present hasn’t been ignored.

The team announced the move on Twitter, stating that Warner had violates the code of conduct.

The statement said: “We were recently made aware of a code of conduct violation involving one of our contracted players.

“We have mutually parted ways with Prov1de, effective immediately, following the results of an internal investigation.”

The team will now have to replace Warner with a new fifth player before the start of the season.

The statement continued: “We are actively seeking out a replacement support player to complete our roster.

“We will share an update on this process with our fans as soon as we can.”

This is the second time that Warner has been dropped from a team just before an OWL season has begun.

He was dropped from Los Angeles Valiant just before the 2020 season after screenshots emerged of him using racial slurs.
