Octane and Envoy both took over maps as LA Thieves showed signs of life in the Call of Duty League.
They managed a swift dispatching of the Boston Breach, taking a clean sweep against a team that consistently seems to dwindle.
Thieves brought in new coach Shane this week and it seems as though his impact has been instant on the team.
Their overall game looks incredibly improved. Octane dropped over a 3.00 K/D on Gavutu Hardpoint in map one to give the team the early advantage.
Boston earned just 93 points in the opening map of the series and it only got worse from that point on for the Green team from New England.
Envoy then backed it up in SnD as he put in a terrific performance. He was nigh-on untouchable, going 9/0 in a 6-0 win for the team.
Thieves then rounded out a perfect map two and three combination with total rounds 9-0 in their favour. They stayed on Berlin for Control and took it perfectly.
The kills don’t tell the full story of Thieves’ dominance in map three. They managed to do incredible things to see off Boston.
Envoy had another 2.00 in Control, going 28/14. He really turned up and decided to take over this series, when Thieves desperately needed one in the win column.
They, along with Boston, are teams on the bubble of being threatened with missing out on Champs. The win will give them a huge boost heading into next week’s Toronto Major.
They’ll still need to win their last game of the weekend in order to guarantee an upper bracket start in Toronto next week.
