Minnesota Rokkr did the unthinkable to move to a [5-0] record, sweeping FaZe. That and so much more went down on the first night of the final set of Major 3 qualifiers.

Day one was full of intense action between the teams.

With Jamie “Insight” Craven back from his illness and in full competition mode sweeping Paris Legion.

Amer “Pred” Zulbeari dominating against the still COVID positive Florida Mutineers.

Then Dylan “Attach” Price helped the Minnesota Rokkr give Atlanta FaZe the 3-0, their fourth ever sweep.

Day one has been nothing short of being an entertaining beginning to the last week of the qualifiers.

Results from Day One:

  • Toronto Ultra vs Paris Legion: 3-0
  • Seattle Surge vs Florida Mutineers: 3-1
  • Minnesota Rokkr vs Atlanta FaZe: 3-0

Toronto Ultra, Seattle Surge, and Minnesota Rokkr are all headed to the Winner’s Bracket in the Toronto Ultra Major 3 Tournament.

You may have noticed Florida Mutineers didn’t have a face cam on during their matchup.

This is due to the team still being positive for COVID-19.

This may or may not have contributed to their performance against Seattle Surge. The confirmation can be found in a tweet posted by the Mutineers themselves.

The Mutineers will be in action again on Sunday. Let’s see if they get their win to gain some momentum heading into Major 3.

Australian “Pred” went onto an interview after Surge’s match.

He said: “Our confidence levels are through the roof. Something that we’ve started doing in our team is just taking care of business.”

Business indeed did his team take care of as they moved onto an upper bracket next week.

Attach went off during the Rokkr’s series against FaZe. He had managed to get a 37/15 on one map that FaZe had an [8-1] record on.

Today (May 28), the action kicks off with Atlanta FaZe vs Los Angeles Guerrillas 20:00 PM BST / 15:00 PM EST.

Will FaZe bounce back from their loss and defeat the Guerrillas to move on in the series? It is going to be one entertaining way to start day two.
