Team iGnite have partnered with the ACCL to send a team to a Dutch Call of Duty LAN event.
The team will be called iGnite x ACCL and will compete at the Criminals LAN in the Netherlands.
Matches at LAN start on Saturday (May 21).
The deal is part of a wider initiative at the ACCL. The biggest Call of Duty League outside of the US is determined to provide opportunity to as many as possible.
They’ve already given back to the community in droves. The ACCL held the first UK-based LAN event since Covid began in Sheffield at the start of May.
Their second LAN event is slated for St James’ Park in Newcastle. Bigger and bolder than ever.
The deal involving iGnite is the latest in a long line of moves that the ACCL have made in order to give back to the community.
ACCL founder Joe Preston said: “EU isn’t getting support.
“We are going to continue to push ourselves to the limit of support EU Call of Duty.”
A team is going to the Toronto Major thanks to the ACCL and now Team iGnite join that roster of teams that will have the backing of the league.
Preston added: “We might be the biggest organisation holding LAN events.
“But know that we aren’t the only ones trying to get things done.”
The Criminals LAN in the Netherlands is of significantly smaller scope than the ACCL’s plans for the future. Supporting these smaller events is essential to help the entire community grow.
Preston said: “By supporting a team going to these smaller events, I am hoping that it will help bring extra attention.
“Hopefully these smaller organisations will get more publicity and opportunities.”
The iGnite x ACCL team is:
Toronto and beyond
The ACCL will also be sending Europe’s 8th seed to the Toronto Major at the start of June.
Nixuh, a South African organisation, were brought on as part of the team.
These deals are just the start for the ACCL’s support of the community.
Preston said: “We’ve already got the 8th seeded EU team going out to Toronto, in association with Nixuh.
“I also have an agreement with another org to put on the opportunity of a lifetime for a team heading to Boston in July.”
The ACCL are expected to host another Cup-like competition in order to choose a team to send over to Boston for the Challengers event on the east coast of the US.
Attention on Newcastle
The biggest thing to come in the near future for the ACCL will undoubtedly be holding a LAN event at St James’ Park.
One of the greatest football stadiums in the world will turn into a Call of Duty LAN venue at some point in the next few months.
Preston added: “I am turning my attention to supporting other events, as well as striving to achieve the biggest and best outcomes for our own events.
“Firstly on the docket will be St James’ Park in July.”
