After a tough spring split, Team Singularity have returned with roster changes for the 2022 summer split of the NLC League of Legends championship.
The team finished dead last in the spring split, winning just two of 18 matches. They’ll be hoping for a much improved performance this time round.
They were disturbed by some roster changes mid-split, with midlaner Simon “Muter” Brons being benched midway through the split.
Neither Muter, nor his mid-split replacement Calle “Dragane” Dargren will be with the team for the summer split.
Instead, Cereda “Piccione” Lorenzo now comes in as the starting mid-laner.
Swede Anton “Softorious” Luning will now be the team’s head coach. Ilias “Rai” Pajoheshfar will step away from the team.
Team Singularity roster for 2022 NLC Summer Split:
Top – Tatuy
Jungle – pawp
Mid – Piccione
Mid – Merza
ADC – Zpikee
Support – JeppeHou
Head coach – Softorious
Manager – JoJo
Merza will start the split as the substitute player of the roster.
Brazilian Gabriel “JoJo” Dzelme will also join the team in a management role.
He told Team Singularity: “As long as we have fun and play like the family we are, we should claim more wins then last split and surprise a lot of people!”
Team Singularity’s Chief Gaming Officer Curtis Bottomley hopes the team learn from the experience of the spring split.
He said: “We are back again with a very similar line-up after an intense off season of practice ready to go that one step further this time around.
“Last season was a learning experience for the team and we hope that they can excel and develop their game to bring the best results possible.”
Singularity get their summer split started next Monday (May 30). They will face Vanir in their first matchup of the split.
They will again play 18 matches, with the top six of the teams in the 10-team pool going forward to the playoffs.
