Team WaR have picked up the former M7 x Electrify roster for the upcoming pro-am event.
The roster placed second at the Minnesota Challengers LAN event in April.
They lost the final having progressed from lower bracket. Toronto Ultra’s NA academy were the team that eventually beat them.
The squad gave a great account of themselves in the Grand Finals. They forced a bracket reset after the first series.
They took the first series with a 3-1 but ended up getting beaten by the same scoreline in the second.
The team consists of:
Wardy (Elliot Ward, ENG)
Maple (Jack McCartney, ENG)
Weeman (Connor Chilton, ENG)
Denza (Bjarne Sleebus, BEL)
The team had some really incredible moments in Minnesota and will be hoping to replicate the same magic when it comes to the pro-am.
They’ll come up against three of the Call of Duty League’s pro teams in the group stage.
They’ll need to beat at least two of them to progress into the bracket stage of the tournament.
Bracket play will only be single elimination at the event too, leaving the teams in the bracket in a one-and-done situation.
They will have to play the New York Subliners and the Lost Angeles Thieves in their group.
Those are two teams that the roster will be hopeful of beating.
Their third and final opponent for the pro-am group stage will be fellow European team, London.
The Royal Ravens have proved to be one of the top tier entities in Vanguard, going from strength-to-strength in the run-up to the Minnesota LAN event.
A case of Covid-19 for Trei (Zer0) during the event really hampered the teams chances of making a long run and they were eliminated in the second round of the lower bracket.
They’ll also be wanting to once again show what they can do and they’ll have no mercy for their fellow European exports.
