Thomas “Scrappy” Ernst will join the Toronto Ultra’s CDL roster as a substitute following success in the Minnesota Challengers LAN event.

Scrappy was part of the Ultra Academy team that ended up winning the event.

They beat European team M7 x Electrify in the grand finals of the tournament.

The Grand Finals did end up going to a second best of five series but Ultra managed to see the event out and take home the win.

The team looked near untouchable all weekend, even beating pre-event favourites Texas Nation on their way to taking the crown.

Scrappy was right in the public eye for his actions in the Grand Finals against M7 x Electrify.

He was the biggest vocal presence in the Grand Finals, even prompting a sly response from Maple.

“Sit down you f****** pleb,” Maple gave in retort after Scrappy pointed out his K/D on one map.

Scrappy will become the sixth member of the Ultra roster. He joins Charlie “Hicksy” Hicks on the bench.

Both Scrappy and Hicksy will have the opportunity to take on their teammates at the Call of Duty Pro-am at the end of April.

Team Singularity’s other Toronto Ultra side also made the cut for the Pro-am. Beans, Harry, Vortex and Furiious will be representing EU at the event.

Ultra may be tempted into making a change in their starting roster following Major 2, with the team taking home a T12 finish.

The move is pending league approval.
